Feb. 03, 2020; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – Staying in our homes as we grow older is a priority for many adults. To be able to do that you want to make sure your home works for you through every stage of growing older. AdventHealth Hendersonville has been granted Age-Friendly Health System Initiative Participant and Committed to Care Excellence designations from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. To continue this commitment to whole-person care for people across every stage of life, it is launching its 2021 Age-Friendly Event Series with the Making Your Home Work For You virtual event.

Richard Duncan, Executive Director of the RL Mace Universal Design Institute (UDI) will lead the discussion about aging in your home, how to identify key problem areas and the solutions available to keep you safe.

The UDI promotes the concept and practice of accessible and universal design for everyone regardless of age, ability, or circumstance.

AdventHealth is holding this free Zoom event on Tuesday, February 9 from Noon to 1 pm.
