N.C., AdventHealth Hendersonville Names New Director of Laboratory Services

Jul. 15, 2021; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to announce it has named a new Director of Laboratory Services. Reza Rahman, MT (ASCP), MBA brings more than three decades of experience in laboratory services to his new role with AdventHealth.

Rahman earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, IL. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Chadron State College in Chadron, NE.

Rahman has extensive experience in implementing quality initiatives to improve various aspects of patient care in laboratory services. “We are excited to have Reza bring his experience and skills in patient care and laboratory services innovations to lead our laboratory team,” said Scott Miller, Chief Operating Officer for AdventHealth Hendersonville.

“I was drawn to AdventHealth Hendersonville because of its faith-based model of care,” shares Rahman. “Listening to people. Being empathetic to their needs and providing solutions is how I approach both patient care and team leadership. People respond to kindness.”

AdventHealth Hendersonville Laboratory Services holds the College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation. This national recognition highlights the excellence of the services being provided to patients.
