N.C., — AdventHealth Hendersonville Welcomes Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

to The Baby Place

Oct. 1, 2020; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth Hendersonville warmly welcomes certified neonatal nurse practitioner Theresa Adams, RNC, MSN, NNP-BC, to its comprehensive team of providers offering award-winning mother and baby care. Adams will provide full-time newborn care in The Baby Place at AdventHealth Hendersonville and joins the team after most recently serving at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

Adams’ career in neonatal care spans 38 years and includes experience at hospitals across the country. She served as a neonatal nurse from 1982 to 2000 at Lester E. Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Mo., and then Mission Hospitals in Asheville, N.C. Upon becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner in 2000, Adams served with Mission Hospitals for 10 more years before joining the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn., in 2010.

Adams holds a diploma in nursing from Sylacauga Hospital School of Nursing in Sylacauga, Ala., and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. She earned a Master of Science in nursing along with her neonatal nurse practitioner certificate from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C.
