N.C., — AdventHealth Hendersonville Welcomes Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
to The Baby Place
Adams’ career in neonatal care spans 38 years and includes experience at hospitals across the country. She served as a neonatal nurse from 1982 to 2000 at Lester E. Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Mo., and then Mission Hospitals in Asheville, N.C. Upon becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner in 2000, Adams served with Mission Hospitals for 10 more years before joining the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn., in 2010.
Adams holds a diploma in nursing from Sylacauga Hospital School of Nursing in Sylacauga, Ala., and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. She earned a Master of Science in nursing along with her neonatal nurse practitioner certificate from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C.
