N.C., AdventHealth Hendersonville Welcomes New Physician Specializing in Spine and Musculoskeletal Pain Care

Oct. 28, 2022; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Jeremy Beckworth, MD to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty at Medical Office Building. Dr. Beckworth is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Interventional Pain, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He specializes in the treatment of spine and musculoskeletal pain conditions.

Dr. Beckworth earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA. He went on to complete his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program and his fellowship in Pain Management from VCU, Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Beckworth focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of spine and musculoskeletal pain conditions with an emphasis on improving function and quality of life. Some of the procedures he offers include joint injections, epidurals (lumbar, thoracic and cervical), radiofrequency ablations, and peripheral nerve and spinal cord stimulator trials and implants.

Dr. Beckworth is committed to providing individualized, whole-person care. He has a multi-modal, comprehensive approach that is tailored to each patient. This approach includes incorporating lifestyle approaches, physical/occupational therapy, mental health treatments, non-addicting medications and minimally invasive procedures. He works closely with physical therapists and mental health providers to make sure patients are receiving a well-informed, cohesive approach to their care.

Dr. Beckworth most recently worked at Emory Spine Center in Atlanta, GA, where he also served as co-director. He was voted “Top Doctor” in Atlanta Magazine for six years in a row and awarded the “Teacher of the Year” award six times for his work as Emory PM&R residency program director. He is active in the Spine Intervention Society as a research division member and has been recognized with “the best research award” for his studies on the safety of cervical epidurals, intradiscal injection of stem cells and the natural history of pinched nerve root in the neck.

Dr. Beckworth is married with two children. He loves to hike and play basketball.
