AdventHealth Hendersonville Welcomes New Psychiatrist

June 03, 2019 — Hendersonville, NC (May 30, 2019) — AdventHealth Medical Group Psychiatry is excited to welcome Catherine Louis, MD. Dr. Louis brings a compassionate care approach that she is excited to share with AdventHealth patients as they get back to feeling whole.

Dr. Louis earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Southern Adventist University in 2002 and went on to obtain her Doctorate Degree from Loma Linda University in 2007. From there, she completed her Psychiatry Residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2011. Dr. Louis is board-certified in general psychiatry.

Dr. Louis’ background and education align well with AdventHealth Hendersonville’s mission. “My studies and research throughout medical school made whole-person care a priority and I love that AdventHealth follows this care path as well” says Dr. Louis. “AdventHealth's goal of extending the healing ministry of Christ provides a deeper meaning behind what we do and that is very exciting to me.”

When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Louis enjoys spending time with her family and their pet Labrador retriever. She also makes her whole health a priority with running, yoga, Pilates, reading and traveling. When asked what makes her “feel whole” she responded with, “Spending time with those I love - my family, friends and God; caring for myself with exercise and time outdoors; and learning something new.”
