HENDERSONVILLE, NC, Sept. 11, 2024 – The summer may be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean that blood isn’t still in high demand. AdventHealth is teaming up with The Blood Connection to make sure the blood supply for our community stays healthy and stocked. You can give a little, to make a huge difference by becoming a donor and joining us on Thursday, September 19 at AdventHealth Hendersonville for our end of summer blood drive.

According to The Blood Connection, only three percent of the population donates blood, but one in seven people who enter a hospital will need a blood transfusion. The supply doesn’t keep up with demand.

To make it easy for the public to donate, AdventHealth and The Blood Connection follow all safety protocols for blood donation.

100 Hospital Drive, Hendersonville

The Blood Connection is a non-profit organization. A person can donate blood every 56 days. Donors must be 16 years or older and weigh more than 110 lbs. to donate. Sixteen-year-old donors are required to have written consent to donate blood. Before you donate blood, make sure that you drink plenty of water and eat a healthy meal. TBC Donor ID Card (preferred) or photo ID required to donate. Gift cards and other incentives are non-transferable.
