— Hendersonville, NC (June 4, 2019) — AdventHealth Hendersonville wants to thank the community members who took part in its annual Community Leadership Initiative featuring Franklin Covey’s The Speed of Trust: The One Thing That Changes Everything.
100% of proceeds from registrations for this event went directly to the Henderson County Education Foundation (HCEF) and its Leader In Me Program. Thanks to the participation of more than 85 community members and its partnership with Franklin Covey, AdventHealth was able to donate nearly $10,000 to the HCEF and the Leader In Me Program. This program teaches crucial life skills to the youngest members of our communities who are destined to become future leaders.
Participants in this year’s workshop took home tools to help increase their personal credibility and grow specific behaviors that increase trust. Attendees learned a new language and a set of behaviors applicable to real work so that they can create and sustain high-trust work environments and cultures.
“This is our third year for our Community Leadership Initiative, which is designed to create intentional opportunities to develop leadership and organizational skills in members of the AdventHealth family, as well as people across the communities in which we live and provide care,” said Todd Gothberg, AdventHealth Hendersonville Director of Organizational Development.
Gothberg shared, “We want to thank those community members for their commitment to invest, not only in themselves, but also in the students who will be able to gain life-long leadership skills through the proven ‘Leader in Me’ program. In this initiative’s three-years so far, we have been able to provide nearly $30,000 to invest in our local students.”
Along with this annual partnership with Franklin Covey, the AdventHealth Community Leadership Initiative includes The Global Leadership Summit. AdventHealth will once again serve as a host for this two-day global event featuring internationally known leaders sharing insight and tools for growing your understanding that Everyone Has Influence. This year’s event will take place on August 8 and 9. AdventHealth is hosting the event in cooperation with Fletcher Adventist Church and Biltmore Church.
