— Hendersonville, NC (June 11, 2019) — AdventHealth Medical Group is excited to welcome Jacob Hansen, DO to its Anesthesiology care team. He is board-certified in anesthesiology and has nearly two decades of direct patient care.
Dr. Hansen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University in 2000 and went on to obtain his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006 from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to joining AdventHealth Medical Group in Hendersonville, Dr. Hansen served in the US Army Medical Corps and worked for UT Southwestern Medical Center, and MedStream Anesthesia Solutions, LLC.
The commitment to steadfast care is what drew Dr. Hansen to AdventHealth . “I appreciate the dedication and stability that AdventHealth has for their team members and patients,” says Dr. Hansen. “When working with a patient that is preparing for surgery, I know that one of my roles is to establish trust as quickly as possible in order to inspire confidence that they know their safety is my top priority along with providing anesthesia with the highest standards.”
“We are very fortunate to be bringing Dr. Hansen onto our team of whole-person care providers,” said Christy Sneller, AdventHealth Hendersonville Vice President of Physician Services. “We are proud to have some of the finest surgeons, nurses and staff who are leaders in their respective fields. Dr. Hansen shares their commitment to patient safety and the AdventHealth mission.”
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Hansen enjoys working on self-improvement in the form of study and research. He also cherishes time with his family. When asked what makes him “feel whole,” he responded with, “Connection to my family, my body and to my profession.”
