June 29, 2020, HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – Access to AdventHealth’s whole-person care during COVID-19 never came to a full stop and neither did the health care system’s efforts to expand the care choices for people across Western North Carolina. AdventHealth Hendersonville welcomes Robin Allen, APRN-BC, FNP, to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology at Medical Office Building*. Allen has been providing care as a certified family nurse practitioner since 2004 with a special focus in cardiology, emergency medicine and hospitalist services.

For the past 13 years, Allen has provided care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, first at Carilion Health Systems in Roanoke, Va., and most recently at Coast Heart Institute in Gulfport, Miss.

“I am excited to join AdventHealth and its spiritual, holistic approach to patient care,” says Allen.

Allen served as a registered nurse across a variety of specialties starting in 1983. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration at Radford University in Virginia.

“I have been blessed to be a part of the cardiology community for over 30 years,” says Allen. “I found cardiology to be intellectually stimulating and very rewarding because you can make a difference in quality of life for patients and teach them healthy lifestyle choices that can be passed down for generations. The practice of cardiology has provided and continues to provide lifesaving advances in medicine and technology that has saved countless lives.”
