AdventHealth Medical Group Dermatology Welcomes New Physician’s Assistant

June 10, 2019 — Hendersonville, NC (June 10, 2019) — AdventHealth Medical Group Dermatology is excited to welcome Claudia Sotomayor, PA-C. She is looking forward to bringing her passion for connecting with patients on a whole-person level to her care role at AdventHealth. Sotomayor is welcoming new patients at AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty at South Asheville, a hospital department of AdventHealth Hendersonville. She will also be assisting AdventHealth board-certified dermatologist, Sarah Cash, MD at this location.

Sotomayor earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from University of Tampa in 2008 and went on to obtain her Master of Clinical Medical Science in physician assistant studies in 2012 from Barry University College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Sotomayor has her Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and her North Carolina Physician Assistant Licensure. In addition, she will be serving AdventHealth Hendersonville as a bilingual care provider.

When she is not caring for patients, Sotomayor enjoys playing with her standard poodle, Mancha, hiking with her husband, and exploring new ways to organize and declutter. When asked what makes her “feel whole” she shared, “Work-life balance, plenty of laughter, and finding passion in what I do.”
