N.C., September 12, 2019 — AdventHealth Hospitalists Welcome New Physician Assistant

Hendersonville, NC (September 12, 2019) — AdventHealth Medical Group Hospitalists at Hendersonville* is expanding to meet the growing need of inpatient care and welcoming Adalie Padgett, PA-C. Padgett brings a diverse experience base to AdventHealth that includes clinical care experience across a broad-spectrum of specialties.

Padgett earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and Master of Natural and Applied Science in chemistry from Missouri State University. She went on to graduate with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Wingate University in Hendersonville. Bell is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and has achieved the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

As a member of the hospitalist team, Padgett will provide whole-person care to meet the unique medical needs of patients during their hospital stay. She will also be working with the AdventHealth Psychiatry care teams to help address the needs of their patients during times when they are hospitalized.

Padgett shares the moment she knew she was supposed to be part of the AdventHealth team, “It became clear at the interview that they shared my vision of being able to provide whole-person care for their behavioral health patients, a population I'm always advocating for. Although I am a hospitalist PA, my primary role is to work with the psychiatric providers to address the medical needs of their patients. This is a dream job for me and I'm so excited to be able to bridge these two specialties of medicine because I think it's an important service to provide.”

“Having Addie on our hospitalist team allows us to meet the unique needs of the behavioral health patients who are in our care at the hospital. She has a passion for these patients and will bring an added level of access to medical care on a compassionate, whole-person level,” said Christy Sneller, AdventHealth Hendersonville Vice President of Physician Services.

When she is not caring for patients, Padgett and her husband try to go exploring with their two dogs, trekking the trails and visiting beautiful places that drew them to the mountains as the place they want to call home. They also love to kayak. When asked what makes her “feel whole” she said, “being able to serve a community that has been so welcoming to me over the last couple of years. I can’t see myself anywhere else.”
