N.C., AdventHealth Welcomes New OB/GYN as it Expands Choices for Women's Health, Including Labor and Delivery Care

Nov. 8, 2022; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Natalie Rochester, MD, FACOG, to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty at South Asheville. Dr. Rochester is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is providing inpatient and outpatient care at AdventHealth Hendersonville. She is trained in robotic surgery and is excited to offer this state-of-the-art surgery option for her patients.

Dr. Rochester earned her bachelor’s degree in science from Peace College in Raleigh, NC and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Brody School of Medicine East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She went on to complete both her Internal Medicine Internship and her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, VA.

Dr. Rochester is known for the kindness she shows to each of her patients. One example is her added connection for her patients before surgery. She takes their hand and talks with them, giving them comfort and reassurance. “It’s sort of a little thing that makes a big difference,” Dr. Rochester says, “I hold their hand and talk with them. Having surgery is scary and it is a small thing that I can do to help ease the anxiety.”

AdventHealth’s commitment to compassionate care, and a healthy work/life balance is what drew Dr. Rochester to join the team at AdventHealth Hendersonville. “I believe that health care should be more than just medicine,” she shares, “It should be about compassion and healing.”

“Dr. Rochester is a welcome addition to our team of physicians, midwives and nurses who are committed to women’s health,” explains Christy Sneller, MBA, Vice President of Physician Services and Chief Practice Officer for AdventHealth Hendersonville. “She is that wonderful combination of a physician who cares for patients and who is dedicated to finding and using the latest tools, such as robotic-assisted surgery, to help those patients feel whole.”

Dr. Rochester is excited to share her skills of compassionate patient care, and her experience as surgeon with the community of Western North Carolina. “I love that as an OB/GYN I get the privilege of supporting women throughout life” Dr. Rochester explains, “I like to get to know my patients on a personal level. I like to know about their lives, their families and what matters to them. Oftentimes these details help guide best medical decision making on a personal level.”

Dr. Rochester and her husband moved to Western North Carolina with their two daughters, and dog “Sam”. When she is taking a break from providing whole-person care, she enjoys spending time with her family and God, hiking, and reading.

Dr. Rochester will be caring for patients at AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty at South Asheville. She is welcoming new patients. To learn more or schedule an appointment visit AdventHealthNC.com or call Call828-654-5005.
