AdventHealth Welcomes Physician to Expands Urological Care Choices for Patients in WNC

HENDERSONVILLE, NC, Oct. 21, 2024 – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Elizabeth Dray, MD, to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Urology at Medical Office Building*. Dr. Dray is board-certified in Urology with a subspecialty certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Dray specializes in male and female incontinence, strictures and female prolapse, using traditional and leading edge, robotic-assisted surgical care options. She provides compassionate, general urological care for both women and men, which can include treatment for enlarged prostate, bladder cancer, and bladder stones.

Dr. Dray earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Anthropology and Chemistry from New York University and went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. After that, she completed her Urology residency program from Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL and her fellowship in Neurourology and Pelvic Reconstruction from the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI.

Dr. Dray discovered her love of science while growing up and going to school. She was excited to find that practicing medicine was an excellent way to bridge her interest in STEM with her desire to have meaningful human interactions. This led her to specialize in urology as a way to serve the community and deliver high quality care to help her patients feel whole.

Dr. Dray is now part of the AdventHealth Hendersonville team of board-certified urologists that provide comprehensive urological care for both men and women. This team of highly trained specialists are committed to providing patients with the help they need with less pain and quicker recovery times.

“I am thoughtful and thorough in my care,” Dr. Dray shares. “I treat patients as individuals and try to avoid a ‘one size fits all’ approach to health problems.”

"Dr. Dray's expertise in urology and her compassionate approach to patient care make her a valuable addition to our team,” said Christy Sneller, MBA, Vice-President of Physician Services for AdventHealth Hendersonville. “Her dedication to providing high-quality, personalized care aligns perfectly with our commitment to provide our community with the comprehensive and compassionate care they deserve."

As a native of Asheville, Dr. Dray is excited to move back to the area and start providing urological care for the patients in Western North Carolina. When searching for a health care system that matched her values, she was drawn to AdventHealth Hendersonville because of its commitment to care for the whole person.
