Newest AdventHealth DAISY Award Winner is Part of The Baby Place Care Team

N.C., November 26, 2019 — Hendersonville, NC (November 26, 2019) –AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to announce the newest winner of the DAISY Award, Lindsey Philon, BSN, RN. Lindsey is part of our incredible team of nurses caring for mothers and babies in The Baby Place at AdventHealth.

Lindsey was nominated for the DAISY Award by one of her patients who felt safe and in very capable hands when she came to The Baby Place at AdventHealth to have her daughter.

“Lindsey was more family oriented and personal. She was detailed about everything. We didn’t have to ask a lot of questions. She shared information and my family, and I just sat there and listened in awe. I felt secure with her being my nurse. My baby girl loved her, too… her voice, the way she calmed my baby down. We absolutely loved her!”

AdventHealth is excited to have partnered with The DAISY Foundation to honor nurses, like Laura, who go above and beyond their daily tasks to make extraordinary differences in the lives of our patients and their families.

The DAISY Award was created by the family of J. Patrick Barnes to thank the nurses who cared for Patrick and for them as he battled an autoimmune disease. Patrick lost his battle, but his family realized the impact his nurses had on the final days of his life. For that they are forever grateful. They wanted to create an opportunity for all families who experience the benefits of the extraordinary care of nurses to show their appreciation.
