(Chatsworth, Ga.) On Feb. 15, Murray Medical Center and Gordon Hospitals leadership teams held a Community Service Day to serve both Murray and Gordon counties.

Our 93 volunteers served at Murray Senior Center, Murray Boys and Girls Club, Tolbert Elementary School, Prevent Child Abuse Gordon County, George Chambers Resource Center, John. L. Coble Elementary School, Calhoun Elementary School, Voluntary Action Center, Calhoun-Gordon County Library, Gordon Boys and Girls Club, and Gordon Senior Center.

Serving our communities, side-by-side for a common goal, is what we are meant to do, said Karen Steely, administrator of Murray Medical Center. While the nature of our daily work is service, community service days are a tremendous opportunity for us to extend our support beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics.
