Where Wound Expertise Meets Wholehearted Care
Here in Chatsworth, our wound care physicians and nurses extend the healing ministry of Christ through the attention they provide to each patient and their family. Discover more about our approach to wound care, including wounds we treat and services we offer.
- Understanding Your Wound
-
For non-healing and difficult-to-heal wounds, we use the latest diagnostic technologies to discover and remove any barriers to healing. To get the full picture of your wound and your best next steps, we can perform:
- Ankle-brachial index (ABI) tests to determine sufficient blood flow or if you need a referral to a vascular expert
- Wound cultures and tissue biopsies to determine the diagnosis of hard-to-heal wounds that don’t respond to conventional therapies
- Imaging and lab work to determine the best treatment plan, if needed
- Wounds We Treat
-
We specialize in addressing wounds related to:
- Arterial ulcers
- Burns
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Infected wounds
- Lymphatic insufficiencies
- Peristomal complications
- Poor circulation and restricted blood flow
- Surgical wounds
- Traumatic wounds
- Venous insufficiency ulcers
For each of these wounds and more, our team will guide you in the best treatments for your unique needs, which could include skin care guidance and recommending a specific procedure.
- Our Wound Treatments
-
With wound care, our goal is limb salvage, and the comprehensive treatments we provide make that goal more attainable. We offer advanced modalities that include:
- Bioengineered skin substitute applications
- Compression therapy
- Negative pressure therapy
- Offloading procedures
- Surgical and ultrasonic debridement
All of these therapies and solutions promote wound healing by improving wound-bed tissue health and circulation to the wound. Your care plan will also include education on ways to reduce the risk of recurrences, so you can feel more secure about not having to face the same challenges in the future.
We also offer ostomy care and education for those in need. Our two certified wound ostomy continence nurses provide preoperative and postoperative care and education.
Additionally, we offer lymphedema management with a certified lymphedema wound therapist on our team. The lymphedema therapies include long-term care options with education, garment fitting and compression pumps for those in need of such modalities.

Wound care can take experts from multiple specialties — and that’s the kind of team you’ll find here at AdventHealth Murray. In our wound care program, we have well-trained and certified experts and a highly skilled nursing team that provides top-notch care. Our team includes:
