The 16,000-square-foot expansion project at AdventHealth Ottawa in 2017 increased our hospital’s capability to serve you and your family. The emergency department and trauma center now includes:

• 12 treatment rooms
• 2 trauma bays
• 2 critical care rooms
• An enclosed and heated ambulance bay

We also have a large and comfortable waiting area for family at our Ottawa emergency room, so you can be nearby and ready to comfort your loved one.

We’re proud to have a Trauma IV designation.

If you have a medical emergency or are in labor you have the right to receive, within the capabilities of this hospital’s staff and facilities:

• An appropriate medical screening examination.
• Necessary stabilizing treatment (including the treatment of an unborn child).
• If necessary, an appropriate transfer to another facility even if you cannot pay or do not have medical insurance or you are entitled to Medicare or Medicare
