The national nonprofit is active in all 50 states and helps over 100,000 kids every year by partnering with individual donors, corporate partners and volunteers.

In Need

One-in-three kids live in low-income families in the United States and one of the most visible signs of poverty is shoes.

  • Millions of children miss school, don’t participate in sports, and are teased and bullied because of worn out shoes.
  • Wearing shoes that are old, tight or inappropriate for the activity can cause a child pain, shame and embarrassment.
  • A new pair of shoes can be life changing for a child. Self-esteem improves. Attendance goes up. Participation in physical activity improves.
