Building On 60+ Years of Local Expertise
Founded in 1962, ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte was dedicated to growth and community involvement in Charlotte County. Founded by a group of local physicians who were passionate about serving the city's expanding population, ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte's original 50-bed hospital opened on June 4, 1962. Since then, this small, one-story community hospital has grown into a Joint Commission Accredited facility.
In our next chapter as AdventHealth Port Charlotte, we remain committed to caring for people throughout their whole life, including welcoming newborns, preventing illness, providing acute care, managing declining health and ensuring compassionate care at the end of life.
