AdventHealth Medical Group is pleased to announce that Jose Marino, MD, has joined AdventHealth Medical Group Interventional Neurology at Rome.
Dr. Marino is an interventional and vascular neurologist who provides expert, life-changing care for aneurysms and stroke. AdventHealth Medical Group Interventional Neurology at Rome is located at 309 W. 10th Street in Rome.
In addition to emergency stroke treatment, Dr. Marino and his care team treat patients with a personal or family history of head bleeds or aneurysms as well as pulsatile ringing in the ear, subdural hematoma and persistent nose bleeds.
“I feel called to this field of medicine because of my fascination with the complexity of the brain and the incredible possibility of preventing life-altering neurologic damage,” Dr. Marino said.
Dr. Marino earned his medical degree at Universidad Ciencias Medicas in San Jose, Costa Rica, and he completed his residency in neurology at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, MA.
In addition to his residency, Dr. Marino completed two fellowships: Vascular Neurology and Neurointerventional Radiology both at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. He is a board-certified vascular neurologist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology as well as the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery.
Outside of caring for his patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, traveling and sports.
