TAMPA (September 26, 2017) Florida Hospital, in its long-standing partnership with the Tampa Bay Lightning, has renewed its commitment and grown its investment in the team, by becoming one of the exclusive, Championship Partners, making the hospital one of the top five corporate business sponsors of the team. In addition, Florida Hospital is the 25th Anniversary Season Presenting Sponsor for the 2017-18 season and will remain an Official Health and Wellness Partner of the Lightning.
Florida Hospital will take over the coveted southwest quadrant or quad in the arena, which is approximately 4,000 square feet of welcoming space for fans to enjoy food, beverages and interact with the Florida Hospital brand. The hospital will be installing an interactive area throughout the season, and will leverage technology in the quadrant to reach thousands of fans in a new, fresh and cutting edge way.
The Florida Hospital quad will be located behind section 128 the same site as the FOX Sports Sun broadcast as the hospital will be partnering with the network to become the presenting sponsor of the FOX Sports Lightning 25th Anniversary Season broadcasts as well.
Our multi-year sponsorship is indicative of Florida Hospitals investment in the team, our commitment to expand in the communities that we serve throughout Florida, and one that will bring a health and wellness message to Lightning fans and all event attendees at AMALIE Arena, said Mike Schultz, President and CEO of Florida Hospital, the West Florida Division of Adventist Health System. Schultz also said, Our organizations share a similar value of giving back to the community and the opportunity to be one of the elite sponsors for the Tampa Bay Lightning came at a time when the hospital was well-positioned to strengthen its storied partnership and help support the inspired vision that Lightning team owner Jeff Vinik has for downtown Tampa.
We are very pleased to be expanding our already great relationship with Florida Hospital, Lightning CEO Steve Griggs said. Since partnering with Florida Hospital in 2011, our two organizations have done excellent things to better the Tampa Bay community and were excited to continue those efforts for years to come. I cant think of a better way to celebrate our 25th anniversary season than with Florida Hospital as our presenting partner. On behalf of all of us at the Lightning, wed like to thank them for their significant commitment to the team and the people of Tampa Bay.
Florida Hospital will continue as an Official Health and Wellness Partner of the Lightning and retain its title of co-presenting partner of the Lightning Foundations annual family-fun charity run, the 17th Annual Florida Hospital Bolt Run, presented by Dasani, being held on Saturday, October 21. Florida Hospital will also host two presenting nights during the season, including Heart Health Awareness Night and Pediatric Health Night.
We are delighted to continue building our brand while inspiring Bolts fans to be proactive about their health and overall well-being, said Lauren Key, Senior Executive Officer of Consumer Strategy for Florida Hospital, the West Florida Division of Adventist Health System.
