Get Started With the Price Estimator Tool

What you pay depends on your insurance coverage. While the price estimator is a helpful tool that can estimate your health care costs based on anticipated services, please know that it is not an exact, personalized cost figure. More accurate costs are based on the actual services provided to you.

This estimate is for AdventHealth services only. You may also receive statements from non-AdventHealth providers participating in your care. You may also request an estimate from non-AdventHealth providers participating in your care here.

  • Question: What is price transparency?

    Answer:

We're committed to helping you understand your health care costs while remaining compliant with federal and state guidelines. Price Transparency allows you to make informed decisions by proactively comparing healthcare costs for different services. AdventHealth complies with price transparency regulations such as the No Surprise Act, a federal law designed to protect individuals covered by health insurance from unexpected medical bills, particularly from out-of-network care in emergency situations, non-emergency care at in-network facilities, and air ambulance services.

  • Question: How do I get a cost estimate?

    Answer:

For hospital based services, you can use our online price estimator tool for at least 300 commonly shoppable services or call us at 1-833-3MYCOST (1-833-369-2678) to speak with a financial services team member. For provider clinic and/or urgent care services, please contact the clinic directly to request an estimate. You’ll need to have your insurance information available as well as the procedure code associated with your treatment or service (you can request this information from your doctor), or a description of the service.

  • Question: What is included in my estimate?

    Answer:

Your AdventHealth estimate will include both hospital fees and fees from AdventHealth-employed providers, when applicable. However, not all providers at AdventHealth facilities are employed by AdventHealth. Each provider can bill you separately for their professional services. If you receive services at a hospital, the hospital will charge you a facility fee which is separate from the professional fee charged by a provider. For a list of non-owned AdventHealth providers and how to contact them for an estimate of their fees, see the Additional Bill Types section.

  • Question: Is my insurance in network?

    Answer:

To make sure AdventHealth and other providers involved in your care are covered by your insurance at the location where you want to receive care, please contact your insurance company.

  • Question: I have insurance. How much will I pay out of pocket?

    Answer:

You’ll receive an estimate for scheduled services that shows your expected costs based on your health insurance benefits and the order from your provider. Payment for your portion is requested at or before the time of service.

  • Question: How do I know if a procedure is covered by insurance?

    Answer:

Your insurance company decides what services are covered. Some insurance companies have requirements that must be met before they will cover a service. For more information about what’s covered, please contact your insurance company. If you need help with procedure or diagnosis codes, your provider can provide those details.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. In compliance with CMS regulations, we provide a Good Faith Estimate at least one day before your scheduled care service.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
