Abigail Gribble, RN, has been named AdventHealth Gordon’s latest DAISY Award recipient. This award is part of the DAISY Foundation's program to recognize the super-human tasks nurses perform every day.
Gribble, a medical surgical unit nurse at AdventHealth Gordon, was nominated by a coworker with the following words: “Abigail shines God’s light on everyone each day. She listens to each patient and their concerns medically and spiritually. There have been several occasions where I have witnessed Abigail going out of her way to buy patients clothes and hygiene items for those who are in need. She has provided a patient with a pair of slippers who had nothing to wear. She has even gone as far as gifting balloons and stuffed animals to brighten patients’ rooms. Not only does she go out of her way to make patients feel at home and comfortable, but she also makes sure they are spiritually well. Abigail is always willing to pray with her patients, coworkers and anyone who is in need. She is such a great asset to this hospital.”
If you or a loved one have been a patient at AdventHealth Gordon and would like to nominate an extraordinary nurse for the DAISY Award, please call Call706-602-7800 x2258.
