NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., August 26, 2016 For some students, the start of a new school year means struggling to afford supplies, but Florida Hospital New Smyrna worked to change this.
Throughout the past month, hospital staff donated school supplies. Once collected, they were delivered to the students at New Smyrna Beach Middle School on Aug. 11.
I am so humbled by our staffs outpouring of support for these local kids. Through their generous donations, hundreds of items were given to students to help them begin the school year on a positive note, said Wendy Weisheimer, Florida Hospital New Smyrna director of quality any patient safety.
