AdventHealth has been awarded on the Forbes list of America’s Best Employers for Veterans 2023. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. This recognition comes as AdventHealth continues to demonstrate our commitment to veterans and active-duty service members through community relationships and internal initiatives.

The America’s Best Employers for Veterans 2023 have been identified in an independent survey from a vast sample of nearly 8,500 U.S. veterans (having served in the United States Armed Forces - either in the regular military or in the National Guard or military reserves) working for companies employing at least 1,000 people within the United States.

AdventHealth is honored to receive this award and is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity. Our whole-person care model – caring for the body, mind and spirit – nurtures a diverse workforce that celebrates the faces and stories of veterans. Our veteran team members, for example, lead collaborative efforts to support active and returning military. As we come close to the holiday season, theses team members facilitate an annual care package drive for active-duty military. They also partner with community organizations that help provide a smooth transition for military professionals into the civilian workforce.

At AdventHealth’s most recent community initiative, Veterans Connect in Tampa, FL, veterans from the area had the opportunity to network with hiring managers and with veterans in health care roles that found a home in the AdventHealth family.

The veterans of AdventHealth are also advocates in promoting awareness and appreciation of the veteran experience among our non-veteran colleagues, leaders, and stakeholders. AdventHealth values the talents and skills that team members who have served in the military bring to our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ. Our organization is committed to promoting and enhancing the veteran experience, and continues to work collaboratively with veterans to bridge the gap between their unique talents and a fulfilling future in the health care profession.

“To each of our veterans, we sincerely thank you for your service and are grateful to have you as members of the AdventHealth family,” said Olesea Azevedo, chief people officer for AdventHealth. “Your skills and experiences are crucial to cultivating a culture of care and respect within AdventHealth and our community.”

Veterans interested in joining the AdventHealth team can visit AdventHealth Careers for Veterans Jobs - Jobs, where they can enter their Military Occupational Specialty Code to be matched with jobs that align with their experience.
