Volunteer of the Month April 2019| Sandra Randolph

“From a child, I’ve always had a desire to help people and that’s why I chose healthcare as a career field. Once I retired, I still had the desire to help and was delighted to accept the invitations to serve as a board member for AdventHealth Orlando Board and AdventHealth Hospice Care Board. It has been a wonderful experience to help bring a community perspective to what we do as a health care system. It is my honor to support the mission of AdventHealth Hospice Care in extending whole person care to patients and their families through compassionate end-of-life care. I believe serving others is how we best honor God; being other-centered.”

Since she was a child, Sandra has always had a desire to help people. She turned that innate desire into a rewarding career that began in physical therapy and eventually lead her into health care administration.

“I believe serving others is how we best honor God; being other-centered,” she said.

Being other-centered led Sandra to accept invitations to continue using her leadership skills. Even after retirement, she continues to serve others as a board member of AdventHealth Orlando Board and AdventHealth Hospice Care Board.

“It is my honor to support the mission of AdventHealth Hospice Care in extending whole-person care to patients and their families through compassionate end-of-life care.”

Sandra considers prayer as the extra thing in life that shifts the ordinary into extraordinary. We truly count it a blessing to have a volunteer of such faith, character, care and compassion. And for that we recognize and celebrate you Sandra! Many thanks for all that you do in service of AdventHealth.
