AdventHealth Central Texas Perinatal Bereavement Ceremony

October 05, 2022 — In honor of National Infant and Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month AdventHealth Central Texas invites community members to its annual Perinatal Loss Ceremony on Sunday, October 16 at 3:00 pm, inside the Same Day Surgery Center (Please look for signage).

October is National Infant and Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month, which is a time of remembrance where we remember the babies whose lives were too short. It is a time to reflect on the pain of pregnancy and infant loss, and to honor the lives of these precious children.

This ceremony welcomes anyone who has experienced pregnancy or infant loss and is a reminder that those who have experienced infant loss are not alone. We encourage everyone to come and support these bereaved parents and work to keep preventable pregnancy and infant loss from happening.

The ceremony's focus is to provide an emotional outlet in a healing atmosphere where families can support one another as a group and will include a few words from hospital staff, music, and prayers. Interview opportunities with parents as well as maternity and labor specialist will be available.
