Florida Hospital DeLand Names Patient Access Manager

DELAND, Fla., November 29, 2016 Florida Hospital DeLand has named Daphnie Ortiz to serve as patient access manager.

In this new role, Ortiz will oversee the operations for the hospital's phone operators and registration teams for Florida Hospital DeLand's inpatient and outpatient services, as well as the emergency department.

Ortiz has worked for Florida Hospital for 14 years and most recently served as executive assistant to the radiation oncology administrative director in the Orlando area.

A Clermont resident, Ortiz earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Adventist University of Health Sciences (formerly Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences) in Orlando, as well as a Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration from Webster University.
