DELAND, Fla., August 1, 2016 Maria Pinheiro has been selected to serve as the nursing director of Florida Hospital DeLand's medical and surgical units.
In this role, Pinheiro will provide nursing leadership on the hospitals fourth floor medical and surgical units. She has been with Adventist Health System since 2011, and most recently served as nurse manager of a large surgical unit at Florida Hospital Altamonte.
In her more than 20 years of nursing experience, Pinheiro has worked in a variety of nursing positions, including case management, dialysis, oncology, long term care facility, and nurse management.
An Oviedo resident, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sacred Heart College.
