AdventHealth Gordon is hosting a free low dose lung cancer screening on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 8 am to 3 pm at the AdventHealth Harris Radiation Therapy Center.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in both men and women and the best chance of a cure is early detection. This free lung cancer screening is available for smokers ages 50 to 77, have a 20-pack year history or greater, are a current smoker or have quit within 15 years. To catch lung cancer at its earliest stage so treatment can be effective. Urine tests will be offered as smokers are also at risk for bladder cancer.
