In honor of American Diabetes Month, Gordon Hospital is hosting a special diabetes class on Friday, November 9 in Conference Room E (enter through Gordon Hospitals East Entrance) from 9 am to 12 pm.
We will have some food and snacks for the attendees to try, said Tonya Turner, nurse educator at Gordon Hospital, as well as some meters and samples to take home.
Designed to provide information and education to those diagnosed with diabetes, this free class covers topics such as blood glucose monitoring, diabetic risk reduction, living an active life, medication review, healthy eating, problem solving, and healthy coping.
