Jessica Hubert, RN, was recently awarded Gordon Hospitals prestigious Extra Mile Award.
This special award was created by members of the hospitals Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to deserving employees selected by the hospitals directors.
Hubert, who is a nurse in Gordon Hospitals medical-surgical unit, was nominated by Sandy Barton, lead nurse educator, and Michelle Cowart, director of inpatient services, with the following words: With only one year under her belt as a nurse, Jessica epitomizes what nurses should be, going above and beyond with all her patients. She is recognized by patients, families, and her peers constantly for her positive attitude and willingness to help anyone at any time. She is extremely deserving of this award.
