Caregiver Support Spotlight Series: Caregiver Engagement – Embracing Cognitive Limitations

AdventHealth in partnership with the Council on Aging for Henderson County is excited to offer the Caregiver Support Spotlight Series that serves to engage caregivers and care support individuals on various topics related to caregiving challenges and emphasizes the needs of care recipients and anyone involved in the care and support of others. The Caregiver Support Spotlight featured topic is introduced and followed by open discussion with connections to information and resources provided.

Join us for this informative session about effective caregiver engagement pertaining to care recipients with cognitive limitations. Bethanie Templeton, MSW will discuss caregiver engagement relating to care recipients experiencing cognitive decline. Bethanie reviews strategies involving effective care recipient engagement and invites former caregivers to attend and share their experiences with other attendees.

Bethanie Templeton, MSW serves as the Advent Age-Friendly Liaison representing the Council on Aging for Henderson County. Bethanie has consulted with numerous caregivers and care support individuals and has identified common themes affecting caregivers, care support persons and care recipients, alike. Bethanie has developed the Caregiver Support Spotlight Series and reviews eight areas of concern to provide insight, information, resources, and caregiver connection opportunities.
