You’ve seen the new name, but you still might have questions about our transition to AdventHealth. Here are a few FAQ’s to ease your mind with the facts.

Why did we change our name?

Your whole health and wellness inspired us to find a better way to deliver the care you’ve come to know and love. That means unifying our nationwide facilities in 9 states under one whole-health promise. We want you to be able to recognize our locations and services instantly, through our intentional new look and feel, and yes, our name. Our hope is that everywhere you see the AdventHealth name, you’ll feel connected to our network of more than 80,000 team members — a team of healing hands that strive to improve the health and well-being of their communities each and every day.

What does this mean for you?

It means that finding the right specialized care when you need it will be easier from here on out. You’ll have access to the same specialists you trust and the same care you love, now with access to a network of more than 80,000 physicians, specialists, and care team members to support you in your journey toward whole health.

While we may have a new name, our goal remains the same: to guide you and those you love in creating healthy habits every day, for a life of whole health that embraces physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Have we been purchased? Did we merge with someone else?

Rest assured, our brand change is not the result of a merger, acquisition, or change in ownership or business structure. Our sponsoring organization remains the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and we remain true to our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.

Do we still take your insurance? If you have an outstanding bill under the old name, how does this affect that bill?

Absolutely, we will gladly still accept your insurance at any of our facilities.

Will it make a difference to your bills, or who you should be paying?

Your payments will still go to the same departments, as guided by your statement.

Are the doctors and specialists the same? Have there been layoffs?

The only thing that’s changed is our name. You are still able to make an appointment with the same team of physicians and care providers you’ve come to know and trust.

Have your hospital/doctor’s office also changed its name?

If your care provider was a part of the Adventist Health System, you will now see our new name on signs, buildings, and in advertisements, which was effective January 2, 2019. If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your care provider directly.

Will you and your family still receive the same level of care?

Our AdventHealth facilities will continue to offer exceptional care that you and your loved ones have come to know and expect from us. This new brand marks our commitment to continual improvement and access to health care.

How many facilities are part of AdventHealth?

AdventHealth currently has more than 1,000 care locations across 9 states. Our full continuum of integrated care includes hospital campuses, urgent care centers, home health and hospice agencies, skilled nursing facilities, and physician groups.

Is this still a faith-based organization?

We are proudly sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We remain committed to our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.

When did the brand change happen?

Our new name on signs, buildings, and advertisements began on January 2, 2019.

What does the new logo represent?

Our mark is a symbol of wholeness that illustrates the breadth and diversity of our connected system of care. At its core — the center of everything we do and everything we are — is the cross. It’s the connector that anchors our employees in the heart of our mission, Christ — and extending His healing ministry.

What does AdventHealth mean?

“Advent” means “coming into being, or use”. When combined with “health,” we believe it perfectly encompasses our commitment to whole health and our mission to serve.
