For the third year in a row, AdventHealth Golf Classic has been a great success due to the generous contributions of our sponsors – individual golfers, influential organizations and AdventHealth partners. This year we raised an incredible $124,000, which will directly impact local mothers, fathers, children and friends through their health care journey. The elite tournament was held at ChampionsGate Golf Club on Friday, April 26 and welcomed over 250 community partners and AdventHealth leaders in coming together for one purpose: to bring hope and healing to our community.
The event kicked off with an executive gifting opportunity along with complimentary breakfast for golfers as they checked in. Each team received a golf cart, AdventHealth swag and food and beverages throughout the course. The awards luncheon followed with live entertainment, donation draw opportunities, a delicious lunch and an awards presentation.
Hope and Healing Through Charitable Giving
The Golf Classic, despite the weather, was a perfect event for friends and families, influential business leaders and companies to connect with one another while giving back to people in need of hope and healing.
Their participation and commitment to our mission help provide life-saving support to an area of care at AdventHealth. Many give to a cause where they personally have been affected by a health-related incident. Others also tend to donate and allocate their sponsorship dollars towards our mission.
“We like the AdventHealth Golf Classic because we know the money goes to a great cause,” says Dr. Paul DePonte of FEP Team Health. “We’re both emergency physicians and we see the resources, the expertise and the money that’s spent by AdventHealth so we can see any patient, at any time, 365 days a year, no matter what type of care they need.”
Each attendee recognizes the bigger reason why they’re involved – it’s a time for fellowship and celebrating how one common purpose can bring people together to help heal and nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

During the awards luncheon, attendees heard from John, an AdventHealth patient who had a successful kidney transplant over seven years ago. John expressed his gratefulness for the support he received “It’s a very personal thing to experience a life-altering event like this. I recognize how creating this type of impact is a team effort. You and the organizations you’re affiliated with are part of the team along with Dr. Bobby and his team of nurses at AdventHealth.”
As an attendee and sponsor, “I continue to come to AdventHealth’s Golf Classic because of their continuous, incredible ability to support patients across the state of Florida and beyond, and we couldn’t be more honored to support them.” Jessica Bellman, a regular participant in the event, shared “the community contribution is immense, and each dollar raised here goes directly back to the patients.”
