Florida Hospital offers free mammogram screenings, dental care for Bithlo residents

Florida Hospital will offer a day of free mammogram screenings and dental care for Bithlo residents on July 24.

Both services will be provided at the Bithlo Community Center, 18501 Washington Ave., Orlando, from 9 am to 4 pm.

Mammogram Screenings:

Florida Hospitals Womens Mobile Wellness and FRi-Diagnostic Imaging will provide the mammogram screenings, a preventive test that checks for signs of breast cancer in women who don't have any symptoms or previous abnormal mammograms.

Qualifications for the screening mammograms include:

  • Women, 40 years and older, no prescription needed
  • Women, 18 to 39 years old, prescription required
  • Uninsured or underinsured
  • Insurance is accepted

Bithlo residents who want to schedule a screening mammogram should call Call407-303-1488.

Dental services:

Two mobile dental units will also be at the Bithlo Community Center on July 24, where children and adults can receive exams, extractions, fillings, cleanings, X-rays and emergency treatment.

The dental units will also be in Bithlo on July 23.
