Community Health Needs Assessments

Improving the Health of the Communities We Serve

As members of AdventHealth, our hospitals strive to live out our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ beyond the walls of our hospital. One such way is by working to improve the health of the communities we serve.

Every three years, we conduct Community Health Needs Assessments to determine the major needs in our area. This data is then used to develop a Community Health Plan for each hospital to improve residents’ health through education, research, financial assistance, special programs and spiritual resources. These services, referred to as community benefits, are offered without regard to profit.

Community benefits are programs or activities that provide treatment and/or promote health and healing as a response to identified community needs. They increase access to health care and improve community health. At AdventHealth, we work with a wide range of community partners to help meet the needs of our communities.
