AdventHealth Medical Group welcomed new physicians to three Johnson County medical practices this fall.

Interventional cardiologist Jason D'Souza, MD, joined AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery at Shawnee Mission in August. He is Board-certified in cardiovascular disease and adult comprehensive echocardiography, and he specializes in high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions.

Internist Jessica Greinke, MD, joined AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care at De Soto in August. She is Board-certified in internal medicine and is an experienced primary care physician with a reputation for providing excellent patient care for adults, ages 18 and older.

Cardiologist John LeCluyse, MD, joined AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery at Shawnee Mission in September. He is Board-certified in internal medicine and fellowship-trained in cardiology. He provides general cardiology care to adult patients.

Pediatrician and internist Shandi Appier, MD, joined AdventHealth Medical Group Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at South Overland Park in October. She is Board-eligible in pediatrics and internal medicine and she sees patients of all ages, including newborns.

“As the health care needs of our community evolve, we are very pleased to have these four physicians join our team,” said Ron Baker, vice president of physician services for AdventHealth’s Mid America region. “In De Soto, Dr. Greinke is already proving to be a valued asset to the community as a hometown doctor, and Dr. Appier’s addition to the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics practice will really benefit patients in that busy southern Johnson County office. As our cardiology services continue to expand, both in breadth and in geography, Dr. D’Souza and Dr. LeCluyse are important new members of our growing team of cardiologists.”

Additionally, four advanced practice providers joined AdventHealth Medical Group this fall. Marcy Norwich, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, joined the Primary Care at Prairie Star practice; Missy Ceballos, PA-C, and Carrie Werst, APRN, FNP-C, joined Primary Care at Lawrence; and Jordan Walter, PA-C, joined Primary Care at Shawnee Crossings.

These providers join more than 150 providers in AdventHealth Medical Group in Greater Kansas City and more than 1,000 providers on the AdventHealth medical staff across the region.
