OVERLAND PARK, Kan., — AdventHealth Kansas City Foundation announced that the Tiny Tim Holiday Fantasy, which has benefited children and families served in the B.E. Smith Family Center for 42 years, will now be named and branded as Tinsel and Tidings from AdventHealth.
The announcement came during the 42nd annual Tiny Tim Holiday Fantasy on Thursday, November 8.
“We are thrilled to take the long-standing and cherished Christmas tradition of Tiny Tim Holiday Fantasy and bring it into a modern and inclusive future,” said Laurie McCormack, executive director of AdventHealth Kansas City Foundation and AdventHealth Ottawa Foundation. “Contributions made through Tinsel and Tidings, just as with Tiny Tim Holiday Fantasy, will continue to help expand the horizons for countless young children, many with special needs, providing them with innovative therapies, inclusive educational programs, Christian pre-school, and a nurturing environment designed to foster their development.”
Each year, hundreds of children and families are positively impacted by the services provided at B.E. Smith Family Center, which consists of Britain Development and Early Learning programs, providing a modern learning environment for children of all ability levels. Britain Development provides family-focused developmental services to ensure that children in the community with special needs get the best possible beginning in life to reach their full potential while Early Learning provides care to children of AdventHealth team members and physicians to prepare them for academic success and life.
Services provided at B.E. Smith Family Center are made possible through the charitable contributions of donors. During Tiny Tim Holiday Fantasy on Thursday, it was announced that nearly $1.2 million was raised at this year’s event.
Tinsel and Tidings, as Tiny Tim Holiday Fantasy was, will continue to be the traditional kickoff of philanthropic events for the Christmas season in Kansas City and will continue to be organized by AdventHealth Kansas City Foundation. The AdventHealth Kansas City Foundation creates opportunities for philanthropic giving that benefit programs that have life-changing, positive impacts on the health and wellbeing of the Kansas City community.
