Extending Our Care to All Because Your Community is Our Community
We are stronger together. At AdventHealth Sebring, formerly Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center, our commitment to our Florida-Heartland community not only strengthens our hospital, it strengthens our neighbors' ability to care for each other. This is the beauty of our mission to provide whole health to you and everyone in our community: When we all get stronger, we all get better.
Our Mission in Action Building a Healthier Community
Millions of Americans face the challenge of accessing quality, affordable health care — including many of our neighbors in the Florida Heartland. That’s why AdventHealth Sebring, formerly Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center, is proud to take an active role in helping our community members access the care they deserve through our valued partnerships with local organizations. We also offer community health education, special clinical and non-clinical programs, support groups, financial assistance, and spiritual resources directly to our elderly and underprivileged neighbors. These community outreach programs are all part of our Community Health Plan, based on a Community Health Needs Assessment that we conduct every three years to make sure our efforts reach those who need it the most.
Stronger Together Our Partners
- Samaritan’s Touch Care Center
-
We partner with Samaritan's Touch Care Center both spiritually and financially. Our goals to improve the Heartland community align and the way to achieve that, we both believe, is to recognize that total health is achieved through the proper balance of physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. Our Community Partners Liaison, Kim Schlosser, lends his expertise and time to Samaritan's Touch, working to expand the organization's reputation, reach and resources.
Samaritan’s Touch Care Center (STCC) is a Christian humanitarian organization that has been providing primary and specialized medical care to the medically indigent since May of 2007. Since its inception, STCC has provided donated medical care valued at over $7.7 million through over 17,800 patient visits with the help of 75 physicians and over 65 regular volunteers. In addition to providing free medical care and prescription medications, STCC’s mission is to also address patients’ mental health and emotional/spiritual needs.
