AdventHealth is Here for You Have a Question? We Have Answers.
- What to Bring. What Not to Bring.
-
Knowing what patients should bring can make a visit to the hospital less stressful. Please call ahead if you have any questions regarding your visit with us. We're here to help.
What to Bring
- A list of the medications and dosages you are currently taking.
- A photo ID and your insurance card(s).
- Your physician's signed prescription with the test information if you were given one.
What Not to Bring
- Alcohol or other drugs.
- Electronic gadgets, such as laptop computers, cell phones, etc., unless first inspected and approved by the hospital Engineering Department. Some electronic equipment can interfere with the delicate telemetry monitoring stations in certain areas of the hospital.
- Jewelry or other valuables. The hospital is not responsible for the loss of valuable articles that you choose to keep with you. We encourage you to send jewelry, credit cards, keys, important papers, and large amounts of cash home with a family member for safekeeping. If you must bring valuables with you, please ask about having them placed in the hospital's safe during your visit or stay. You may want to keep a few dollars for newspapers, magazines, etc., which volunteers can help you purchase.
- Sleepwear or toiletries. We're happy to provide you with everything you need to make your stay more comfortable.
- Your own medications. While you are in the hospital, we are required by law to dispense all of your medications.
- Hospital Amenities
-
You are our priority and we want your experience here to be as easy as it can be. Each of our three locations offers convenient hospital amenities and services, including:
Food and Beverages
Wholesome, nourishing, and well-balanced meals are an important part of your treatment and recovery. So we make every effort to provide nutritious meals that are prepared according to your doctor’s orders.
You will be served breakfast between 7:30 am and 8:30 am, lunch between 11:30 am and 1 pm, and dinner between 5 pm and 6 pm. Occasionally, your meal may be delayed if you are scheduled for a special test or treatment. Whenever possible, you will be served after your test or examination.
Each day you will receive a menu from which you can order your next day’s meals. Please mark your menu so it will be ready for pickup by 10:30 am. If you are on a special diet prescribed by your doctor, you will receive menus tailored to your specific needs.
If you would like to have a family member or friend eat in your room with you, they may go to the cafeteria and get a take-out meal. Vending machines are also available.

Pastoral Care
Regardless of your beliefs, our team of qualified, spiritual guides will help you stay positive and channel hope and faith. Each of our chaplains focuses on the spiritual healing and restoration of those in our care, including their friends and families. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day to listen, counsel, and comfort. Our dedication to providing extraordinary, compassionate care continues beyond the patient floors, operating rooms, and ERs. Wellness means healing all aspects of the body, mind, and spirit. Our campuses were built upon this foundation and it still guides the care we provide every day.
Through our Pastoral Care program, patients and guests find prayer can be a powerful factor in healing. Whether guiding prayer, sacrament, or meditation, our chaplains help fulfill our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ to our community.

While You Are Here and Even After You Leave, We Are Here for You
Your only job is to rest and get well. Our job is to support your recovery in any way we can so that you can focus on what’s most important — getting back to your life and doing all the things that you love most. From refilling a prescription to explaining the ins and outs of your insurance coverage to answering questions about hospital amenities, whatever you need, we're here to help.
A hospital stay can bring many visits and services from multiple medical providers. We know it’s hard to plan ahead for an emergency hospital visit, but if you have a scheduled health care service that requires a hospital stay, we recommend contacting your anticipated health care practitioners within the hospital to confirm they participate with your insurance provider. Services may be provided in the hospital by AdventHealth as well as by other health care practitioners who may bill you separately. By contacting your anticipated health care practitioners ahead of time, you can get information about billing practices and an estimate for your upcoming services to help avoid any unexpected challenges and fees.
