Many parenting questions come down to one question: Is this okay or is something wrong?
Behavior Checker®, our digital parenting tool, is available 24/7, 365 days a year with proven advice to help solve more than 150 of your children’s common, everyday behaviors. This list includes, but is not limited to, temper tantrums, jealousy, sibling rivalry, not following directions and fighting bedtime/naptime. It also features online coach-led, live ParentCare Coffee Talks.
A child’s job is to learn how the world works and grow into a healthy, happy adult. That’s a big task and, as a parent, you may notice behavior challenges along the way. When you and your child don’t see eye to eye, it’s important to teach with love and limits.
Maybe your child is resisting bedtime. That can be frustrating, but it is also an opportunity to reinforce a nightly routine, allowing children to get adequate rest and calm themselves to sleep. Your efforts will teach your child to handle frustration as well as the importance of following rules.
So that’s a parent’s job - to help children trust, feel secure and grow emotionally by learning acceptable behavior. As parents, we have a big task too.
At AdventHealth, we know that it’s tough to be a parent and want to provide you with the tools you need to be successful. In our ParentCare Coffee Talks, you will learn how best to use Behavior Checker on a daily basis. You will also learn discipline methods that teach empathy and inclusiveness, reduce stress and anxiety, build positive relationships and empower children to thrive emotionally and physically.
