Gina Creek is the Chief People Officer for the AdventHealth Mid-America Region. She leads the human resources departments at AdventHealth hospitals and clinics in Kansas and Wisconsin, including AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, AdventHealth South Overland Park, AdventHealth Ottawa and AdventHealth Durand. Gina advises the regional leadership team on human resources initiatives, including attracting, motivating and retaining top talent; performance management; leadership development; employee engagement and strategic planning that contributes to AdventHealth’s growth.
Gina joined AdventHealth in 2011 and first worked in project management, leadership development and change management for the AdventHealth information technology team. She then led the AdventHealth Emerging Leader Program, developing high-potential leaders for executive roles.
Since 2018, Gina has led AdventHealth’s Leadership Institute, overseeing the assessment, design and development of multi-level leadership programs and interventions to meet the needs of the AdventHealth workforce.
Gina earned her doctorate degree in leadership and learning from Vanderbilt University, her master’s degree in organizational development from Avila University and her bachelor’s degree in education from Union College. She is also a published author in leadership culture.
Gina, her husband Greg, and their son Gideon live in Kansas City. Gina has roots in Kansas City, as her father worked at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission as a chaplain for over two decades. In her spare time, she enjoys distance running and has completed 15 marathons and 25 half marathons.
