Lisa Hays, MD, FACE, is the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. She joined our medical staff in 2006 as an endocrinologist and served as a medical director for AdventHealth Medical Group in 2018. In 2021, she became the Chief Medical Officer for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
Dr. Hays earned her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Kansas, where she competed on the track and field team and was a two-time Academic All-American. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency and endocrine fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Hays and her husband, Eric, have two children: Nicholas and Lydia. She was born in Hays, Kansas, and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and children, traveling, hiking, golfing, participating in the Women in Medicine Book Club and cheering on the Jayhawks.
