Human Resources Vice-President Joins Growing AdventHealth Mid-America Region Leadership Team

Merriam, KS – Michelle Zech is the new Vice-President – Human Resources Business Partner for the Mid-America Region of AdventHealth, which includes AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in the Kansas City metro area; AdventHealth Ottawa in Ottawa, Kansas; and AdventHealth Durand in Durand, Wisconsin.

In her new role, Zech will advise the regional leadership team on human resources initiatives, including attracting, motivating and retaining top talent; performance management; leadership development; employee engagement and strategic planning that contributes to AdventHealth’s growth.

“Michelle’s expertise in health care human resources, particularly in the areas of change management and strategic planning, will be invaluable to us as we continue to grow the Mid-America Region of AdventHealth,” said AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Chief Operating Officer Michael Knecht.

Zech most recently served as the Strategic Human Resources Business Partner for Lee Health System in Fort Myers, Florida, where she was responsible for collaborative strategic planning for Golisano Children’s Hospital, outpatient services and population health. She worked on initiatives related to restructuring, culture change and recruiting and led human resources support of various acquisitions.

Zech earned her master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Southern University and her bachelor’s in business administration from Hodges University.
