— Merriam, Kansas – Kathryn (Katie) Wiltse, Esq., MHA, CPC, is the new regional chief legal officer for the Mid-America Region of AdventHealth, which includes AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in the Kansas City metro area; AdventHealth Ottawa in Ottawa, Kansas; and AdventHealth Durand in Durand, Wisconsin.
In her new role, Wiltse will advise the regional leadership teams on legal matters including compliance with federal and state law, acquisitions, real estate transactions, and rules and regulations pertaining to physician relationships and patient rights.
“Katie has a unique background that blends expertise in law and health care, making her a perfect fit for this role,” said AdventHealth Mid-America Region CFO Karsten Randolph. “We are grateful for her dedication to the AdventHealth organization and are excited to welcome her to the Mid-America Region leadership team.”
Wiltse most recently served at AdventHealth’s corporate office as legal counsel for the physician enterprise, which includes nine medical groups with over 2,000 employed physicians. She also oversaw ambulatory care initiatives for AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division, which includes several freestanding imaging and urgent care facilities. Wiltse previously worked in physician practice management and served as a Director of Operations for a 110-multi-specialty physician group practice in Jacksonville, Florida. She also served as hospital legal counsel for the University of Florida – Shands Jacksonville Medical Center for several years.
Wiltse earned her master’s degree in health administration from Indiana University.
