At AdventHealth Wellness Center Daytona Beach all new members are entitled to a free equipment orientation at the scheduled times. In addition, group fitness classes and WELLBEATS are free to members. The schedules will be posted and are subject to change. Instructors can modify movements for all fitness levels and adjust for physical limitations.
Additional services such as personal training and specialized fitness programs are available by appointment or pre-registration for an additional fee. Prepayment for these services is required. Some restrictions may apply please call for details.

Beginner Yoga:
Basic vinyasa flow of beginners poses that will strengthen and stretch your entire body. Learn to move your body with purpose and create internal heat using breath.
Cycling:
Cycling is a group fitness class that will train your cardiovascular system through intervals of high and low intensities of speed and resistance. Each group class is designed to improve cardiovascular endurance, burn calories, and build muscular strength.
Equipment Orientation:
Learn how to set up and use our machines correctly. A certified fitness professional will review the proper way to set up each machine and teach you how to use all of the monitors on our cardio machines and Wellbeats virtual systems. You may attend as many times as needed. Exercise cards are available at the front desk to keep track of your progress.
Fall Prevention:
This class is designed for anyone who has challenges with their balance or those who would like to prevent balance deficits due to the aging process. Participants will be educated about fall risk and safety measures. The class consists of a combination of strengthening primarily focused on the lower body along with balance exercises that improve proprioception and coordination. Exercises can be modified to accommodate various fitness levels.
Latin Impact:
High energy dance style cardio class that combines low impact interval training with Latin dance moves from Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and more. It's a great way to burn calories and get your legs, hips, and abdomen toned while moving to the rhythm of Latin music. This fun class is designed to work on body coordination and cardiovascular endurance.
SPF – Strength, Pilates, Flexibility:
Strength training workout that combines weight lifting for strength work, and Pilates/Yoga moves and stretching for core training and to increase flexibility. Each class will utilize different types of equipment. Each class is designed to build and tone muscle, burn calories, and increase flexibility and balance.
SSS - Senior Strength and Stretch:
Build strength, balance, and flexibility – benefits include: increased metabolism, improved bone density and flexibility and help with balance and fall prevention. Music choice to suit the preference of senior exercisers.
SilverSneakers Classic:
In this group fitness class, you'll have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.
Yoga/Pilates: Mix:
This fusion-based format is a true balance between standing and floor exercises in a variety of positions. It incorporates the use of both Yoga and Pilates flowing sequences suitable for all fitness levels that incorporate the three main fitness components: Cardio-respiratory, strength, and balance. This group class will also help you reduce stress and improve flexibility.
Yin Yoga:
Series of floor poses designed to stretch your deepest muscles. Each pose is held for 3-5 minutes. Hold each pose while engaging the breath.
Zumba:
High energy dance style cardio class that combines low impact interval training with Latin dance moves from Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and more. It's a great way to burn calories and get your legs, hips, and abdomen toned while moving to the rhythm of Latin music. This fun group fitness class is designed to work on body coordination and cardiovascular endurance.

Body Sculpt:
Strength-training group class designed to improve strength in all major muscle groups, providing a results-oriented whole body workout. Each class will utilize different types of equipment. You will gain strength, balance, flexibility and endurance while focusing on total body health.
Bootcamp:
Total body workout designed to push you to your limits. A mix of strength, power, balance, endurance, plyometric, and cardiovascular exercises. You can work at your own pace, but are encouraged to challenge yourself. Some classes may be held outside if weather permits, but will always meet in the large group fitness room.
Circuit Training:
Circuit Training is a full body workout designed to target all major muscle groups of the body to maximize caloric expenditure and improve strength. This group class will include plyometric, power, strength, speed, and aerobic components. All movements can be modified to decrease impact if needed. Each class will utilize different types of equipment. There will be several stations set up and participants will rotate through each station. Each exercise will be performed for 30 seconds with 10-15 seconds of rest between each exercise.

Glutes and Core:
Glutes and Core is a class that focuses on strengthening the abdominal and gluteal muscles. It combines seated, lying down, and standing movements of the core and glutes to build strength, prevent injury, improve balance, and support performance in other activities. Each class will utilize different types of equipment.
Kickboxing:
A fusion of boxing and aerobics that is done to high energy music. It is a non-contact, total body workout that engages the core using punching and kicking movements. This group class can improve flexibility, coordination, balance, strength and endurance while improving your cardiovascular system.

You will perform an exercise for 20-30 seconds then rest 10-15 seconds between exercises. Several rounds of each exercise will be completed. Tabata is great for improving endurance, speed, coordination, and strength all while burning calories.

- Summer Youth Programs

Children’s Ship-Shape Up:
This class builds endurance, strength, agility, flexibility, coordination and balance through both outdoor and indoor activities. The class, designed for 10 to 13 year-olds, provides health, fitness and fun! The 8-week series will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 13th through November 3rd from 5:30 to 6:30 pm and costs $128 per child.
