Surviving Cancer A Lifelong Journey to Whole Health
People often ask how to survive cancer, but we can’t pinpoint just one thing that will help you. Surviving cancer is an ongoing journey, and your experience isn’t over on the last day of your treatment.
The cancer survivorship program at AdventHealth Cancer Institute Shawnee Mission delivers important resources and tools right to your fingertips so you can make even more progress as you strengthen your body, mind and spirit.
- What Is the Survivorship Program?
-
Once your cancer treatment ends, you can begin our survivorship program, which focuses on your whole health as you take your first steps after treatment.
Our cancer survivor program focuses on whole-person health. This means focusing on nutrition, your mental health, physical therapy, lymphedema therapy and reconnecting with your primary care provider.
During our program, you’ll receive a customized survivorship care plan to help you manage long-term side effects of cancer treatment, prevent recurrent and new cancers and help you live the full life you deserve.
