Hospital operations are led by our C-suite leadership, including the CEO, COO, CFO, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nursing Officer. Collectively, the leadership team is responsible for the overall operations, strategy, clinical excellence and financial performance of the hospital and operating unit. The team interacts closely with AdventHealth corporate leadership and governing boards to ensure the mission and vision of the hospital facilities align with AdventHealth as a whole.
In this internship, you’ll learn about hospital operations through exposure to the senior leadership team and key directors over service lines and various hospital areas. Across the four-week rotation, our preceptor will teach you how mission-focused leaders utilize the leadership cycle (planning, organizing, leading and controlling) in a faith-based hospital setting. Additionally, you’ll get to see how hospital goals are set, implemented and measured at the department level.
