Gordon Hospital is pleased to announce that musical artist Laura Story will headline the 15th annual Praise and Prayer event on Thursday, May 5 at 7 pm at the historical GEM Theatre in downtown Calhoun.

Laura began her music career as a bass player in the Christian rock group, Silers Bald. After finding success with the band, she decided to record her debut album. Other albums include There is Nothing,Great God Who Saves, and Blessings, which topped the Christian music charts and eventually earned Laura a GRAMMY for best contemporary Christian music song in 2012.

In addition to her music career, Laura is also a worship leader and a bestselling author. She earned her graduate degree at Covenant Theological Seminary and has served as a worship leader at Perimeter Church in Atlanta since 2005.

Her GRAMMY award-winning song Blessings inspired her to write a 30-day devotional book called What If Your Blessings Come Through Raindrops. Laura then released her latest book When God Doesnt Fix It; Lessons You Never Wanted to Learn, Truths You Cant Live Without. The message in her writing is that God is faithful through all phases of life, even the difficult times.
